Write to us, safely
For tips, corrections, collaborations and press. If the information is sensitive, do not use direct messages on social media.
Public channels
Our public channel is Instagram, @khaima.reports: fine for comments, collaboration proposals and press requests. Do not send sensitive documents or testimonies there.
For sensitive documents or testimonies, first send us a short message with no attachments and no details: we will point you to an encrypted channel. Be wary of anyone claiming to write on behalf of KHAIMA Reports from any other account.
What we accept
Documents, photographs, video, recordings, data, first-hand testimonies, reports of errors in our articles. Everything is assessed; nothing is published automatically.
What happens after you send
- We read the material and assess urgency, risk to the people involved and quality of the evidence.
- We anonymise whatever could identify someone.
- We verify with independent sources and documents.
- We decide whether to archive, ask for more, refer to competent organisations, or publish.
- Before publishing anything that concerns you, we ask for your consent.
Honest limits
KHAIMA Reports is not a lawyer, a humanitarian organisation or an emergency service. We cannot promise protection, individual legal assistance or urgent intervention. In case of immediate danger, contact the emergency services where you are and specialised organisations. We cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality in every circumstance: always assess the risk before sending.
Minimal safety advice
Use a device and a network that are not your employer’s; remove metadata from photos and documents before sending; do not include third parties’ names unless necessary; if in doubt, write to us first without attachments.
Corrections
Found an error in one of our articles? Tell us which article, which sentence and what the correct source is. We answer every report and correct visibly.
